New Zealand getawayTwo weeks of traveling New Zealand, I began my trip down South where I was taken away by the stunning, breathtaking views of snow capped mountains surrounded by crystal blue lakes. Never in my life have I been in such awe of scenery and nature. From hiking the glaciers to driving along the West Coast and seeing beaches where dolphins inhabit (and on special but rare occasions can be spotted), I also spent time in the the most exhilarating resort in New Zealand -Queenstown where I skied with Europeans who I met on the Kiwi Experience bus tour and had crazy nights drinking cocktails from tea cups and joined in on pizza feasts and two legged pub crawls.
I must admit, I have never met a nation so similar to Australia. Everywhere I went the people were extremely friendly and helpful. I also finally discovered the difference between a kiwi accent and an English pom accent. Poms were everywhere!
The last leg of my trip took place in North Island which is known for extensive displays of Maori cultur; volcanic and geothermal activity and the two largest kiwi cities, Auckland and Wellington (my favourite little capital).
